10 Days of Delivering Life: ‘Gaza Lifeline’ Clean Water Mission in Sahaba Neighborhood

NORTH GAZA – Amidst the increasingly critical humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, access to clean water is not merely a necessity—it is a lifeline that distinguishes between life and death. Recognizing this reality, Pertubuhan Global Hayat has successfully executed a critical phase under the recent ‘Gaza Lifeline’ (Talian Hayat Gaza) campaign.

For 10 consecutive days, from April 27 to May 6, 2025, our field team mobilized an intensive operation to distribute clean drinking water. The primary focus of this mission was in the Northern Gaza Strip, specifically within the Sahaba Neighborhood, an area currently densely populated with thousands of displaced families (IDPs).

The Water Crisis in North Gaza

North Gaza remains one of the most difficult zones to access and has suffered the most severe damage to water infrastructure. Existing water sources are largely contaminated, significantly increasing the risk of waterborne diseases among children and the elderly.

The arrival of Pertubuhan Global Hayat’s water tankers amidst the rubble of buildings in Sahaba brought a ray of hope to the residents there.

Program Impact Highlights:

  • Operation Duration: 10 days non-stop.
  • Target Location: Temporary shelter centers around the Sahaba Neighborhood.
  • Impact: Thousands of liters of clean water were distributed, directly benefiting hundreds of displaced families for their drinking and daily needs.

“Every drop of water contributed by Malaysians through Global Hayat means another life can survive here. At a time when we are besieged by thirst, this aid arrived right when it was needed most.” – Implementing Partner Representative in Gaza.

Thank You to Our Donors

The success of this water distribution mission is the direct result of your sincere contributions through the Gaza Lifeline campaign. You have proven that physical distance is no barrier to caring for our brothers and sisters who are facing such severe trials.

Although this 10-day phase has concluded, the crisis in Gaza is far from over. Pertubuhan Global Hayat is committed to continuing follow-up aid, as clean water remains a critical daily necessity.

Continue supporting our mission.
