A Historic Location: Ibad al-Rahman Neighborhood
The construction of Masjid Hayat Gaza 2 takes place in a deeply meaningful location: the Ibad al-Rahman neighborhood in North Gaza. More significantly, it is being built on the original site of the destroyed Al-Quds Mosque.
Rebuilding on this site is not just about restoring a sacred place for local residents to perform congregational prayers; it serves as a powerful symbol of resilience, strength, and spiritual revival for the community.
Phase 1 Progress: Site Clearing (March 30 – Early April 2026)
Site clearing officially began on March 30, 2026. This process involves removing debris, leveling the ground, and ensuring the area is entirely safe before the foundation laying and structural construction can commence.
As of the latest report on April 2, 2026, workers and volunteers are working tirelessly to complete this initial phase. The site clearing is expected to be fully completed in 5 days, paving the way for the next critical phase of construction.

The Significance of This Dakwah Project
This initiative is more than just a physical building. As a Dakwah Project, it carries a much larger mission:
- Community Hub: Serving as a gathering place for the residents of Ibad al-Rahman for social, welfare, and educational affairs.
- Spiritual Healing: Providing a comfortable and peaceful sanctuary where psychological trauma can be eased through religious gatherings, knowledge sharing, and worship.
- Symbol of Solidarity: Standing as living proof of the continuous support from Muslims worldwide for the survival and dakwah efforts in Gaza.
Continue to Pray and Support
Successfully clearing this site in such a short time is a proud achievement, but the journey to see the new mosque standing tall is still long. Let us continue to pray for smooth construction in the upcoming phases, favorable weather, and the safety of everyone involved.
